We are very pleased to welcome the Reverend Sara Green to the Stewardship for Us team!
Rev. Sara, based in New Orleans, comes to Stewardship for Us bringing her experience with community organizing and strategy, program management, youth and young adult ministry, grant writing and management, and crowd-sourced fundraising.
Rev. Sara is committed to developing stewardship systems that help Unitarian Universalist congregations survive and thrive in our moment in history, fostering healing and inclusivity while bringing joy to our communities.
Sara travels all over the world to learn more deeply about peoples and cultures. Her creative strategies are already bringing new ideas and methods to our team.
In addition to her work with Stewardship for Us, Sara serves on the Executive Committee of Alternate ROOTS and is on the staff of Windcall.
Rev. Sara earned an M.Div. as well as a M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University where her masters theses focused on popular education and burlesque as a site of liturgy. She holds a B.A. from Bennington College in Dance and African American Studies.
Sara and I have enjoyed geeking out together exploring the intersections of stewardship and spirit and taking a deep dive into what Stewardship for Us brings to congregations and how we can develop ways to make our work more inclusive and sustainable. I am excited to get the chance to work together!
