Having the Unitarian Universalist General Assembly in digital format is not as rich as it is when we can call meet in person. Still, it has allowed a lot more people to participate and benefit than was possible, even with the virtual elements, before 2020. This year, folks from the Stewardship For Us team and involved with all of the stewardship workshops being offered:
The Courage to Dream Big
With Kay Crider, Rachel Maxwell, Barry Finkelstein, and Dr. Melissa James. It takes courage to make the change we want to see in our congregations and the world. And, often it takes financial resources. We will learn from the stories of congregations who have shown that courage and whose congregations have responded to the call for resources.
Sustaining the Multi-Platform UU Church
With Rachel Maxwell, Barry Finkelstein, Rev. Jake Morrill, and Lóre Stevens. Thriving congregations will offer both virtual and in-person ministries. This opens up the possibilities to expand the UU circle of engagement, connection, faith, and justice. This workshop will address how to prepare for and support these possibilities through vision, innovation, leadership, and stewardship.
Spiritual Practices to Support Generous People and Communities
With Mark Ewert, Rev. Anastassia Zinke, and Rev. Daniel Kanter. Join us to explore the intersection of purpose, narrative, and individual and communal practices on the long-term development of generous people. Let’s take financial stewardship out of the context of a disliked chore and imbue it with the richness and possibility it deserves.
These are on-demand programs, so get your stewardship folks together and view them when it is convenient for you. These are viewable for everyone who has registered for General Assembly this year. Please let us know if you have questions or want more information about any of these topics. Not registered for UUA General Assembly as yet? You can do that here.
